Power Networking
Get The Help, Advice And Contacts You Need To Move Forward With Your Ideas!
Learn who's in the room and who you want to talk to before you start networking. Everyone will do a brief introduction. Feel free to state what you need help with and what your area of expertise is when it comes to helping others. Please don't feel like you need to be an expert at anything. We all have experiences or information in our heads that can help others.
Inventors Alliance President Andrew Krauss will lead the discussion to get help for everyone in the room from either himself, the speaker or the attendees.
This Power Networking session will be a very positive and supportive environment for everyone in attendance. Last time we did this type of networking, every single person in the room met a key contact or got a key piece of information that helped them move forward with their projects!
After helping everyone out as a group, we will break into free form networking, so you can meet and network with the right people who can help you move forward with your projects.
Afterwards, we will sit back down again and all share what we learned. We will double check to make sure everyone in the room is getting what they need to move forward with their projects.
The goal is to have everyone leave feeling like they are moving forward with their current project or at the very least their understanding of the Invention process.
Network with fellow Inventors, vendors and the speaker on Saturday, July 23rd!
- Full 90 minutes to network and get answers
- Network in a supportive environment
- This is a great opportunity to learn from others' experiences
- Meet people who can help you now and in the future

What To Do About Common Patent Mistakes That Waste Inventor's Time And Money
Obtaining patent protection for your invention is a difficult and often costly process. Yet many patents turn out to be worthless. How can independent inventors and small companies help ensure that they make the best use of scarce time and financial resources in obtaining patent protection for their inventions?
This talk will provide answers to a broad range of patent-related questions, questions that should be uppermost in the minds of independent inventors, including:
-
Why are a majority of patents worthless?
-
What can inventors do to protect their inventions from the earliest moments of conception through the patenting process to licensing or sale of their products? Should inventors search the prior art?
-
Which prior art often matters most?
-
What is a provisional patent application?
-
What are the substantial risks and benefits in filing a provisional patent application?
-
What are the risks in keeping a portion of the invention as a trade secret?
-
Should inventors act as their own patent attorney?
-
How can inventors work with registered patent attorneys while keeping costs low?
