Fred Schechter - Product Designer With DS4 Design

About The Speaker

Mr. Schechter specializes in Industrial Design and high production volume consumer products. His practice emphasizes the design and production of consumer products.

About The Seminar
This is a full two and a half hour crash course on product design. Are we going to be able to cover everything a product designer would learn during four years of design school? . . . . of course not.

However, a substantial amount of information will be shared that will help you move forward with your projects and DESIGN YOUR IDEAS!

Mr. Schechter will discuss developing a style and look for your product with the manufacturing processes you have available to provide a repeatable style for your product portfolio.
The design of effective packaging and point of purchase displays for your products will also be discussed (corrugated/vacuum form/etc.)
Mr. Schechter previously has developed products for a variety of companies, including Radica (handheld toys/games), Sharper Image (various consumer electronics), and Cricket (professional hairstyling products).
