Warren lives with his wife, an advertising executive for People Magazine, and three daughters in Connecticut.

Dr. Steven Colby is a patent attorney focusing on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and technical advising related to intellectual property litigation. Steven’s patent practice has covered a wide variety of technology including integrated circuits, scientific instruments, internet applications, laser systems, medical imaging, financial instruments, network security, graphics, storage systems, internet infrastructure and database applications.
His professional background extends to software and hardware development, website development, manufacturing management, electronics, sensors, measurement devices, control systems, mass spectrometry, chromatography and bioanalysis. Steven received his Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, where he focused on the development and design of scientific instruments.
He has over 40 published scientific papers and abstracts and holds several patents. Prior to joining Carr & Ferrell, Steven was director of product development for a scientific instrument company.
