Saturday April 24th - Expert Panel Speaking Live to Inventors Alliance in Sacramento!
This month's meeting brings a great Expert Panel featuring four speakers:
- Dennis Slack, Packaging Expert
- Jubal DeLong, Industrial Designer
- Tim Gerard, Seasoned Inventor
- Ryan Fisher, Business Banking Specialist
Dennis Slack, Packaging Expert
Dennis Slack is an Account Manager for American River Packaging. They are a manufacturer of corrugated packaging headquartered in
Sacramento with a second manufacturing plant in Madera, CA.
Dennis is going to talk about and answer questions about the different packaging options you have when packaging your product ideas.
American River Packaging is know in the industry as a "sheet plant" because they buy raw
sheets from the corrugated mills and convert them to various types of
corrugated packaging. They produce everything from plain brown boxes to
full four color point-of-purchase displays, being the only sheet plant
in Northern California containing a complete design center and offering services such as design, cut, print and assemble full 3D comps for customers before
commitment to production.
Jubal
DeLong, Professional Industrial Designer
Over
the past 15 years Jubal DeLong’s industrial
design work has excelled, winning
many professional accolades and client successes. The resulting
portfolio spans
a wide variety of demanding consumer product development projects, from
licensed merchandise to technical medical devices, soft goods to
sporting goods
as well as numerous residential and consumer electronics.
Jubal is going to answer your questions about design options for your product ideas.
Jubal’s comprehensive experiences in product
development include management of
multi-faceted projects’ contributors to carrying concepts from napkin
sketch to
mass-production while generating and securing intellectual property. Mr.
DeLong
has extensive experience directing multiple factories both domestic and
abroad,
keeping projects on course via email, video call and on location. His
knowledge
of product development processes including specific demands on emergent
market
driven styling, human factors, material properties, mechanical and
electronic
engineering allows him to expeditiously assess challenges and present
technical
and interpersonal solutions in a way that best suits each project’s
unique set
of dynamics.
Tim Gerard, Seasoned Inventor
Tim is an
auto body technician who began inventing auto body repair products in
2001, and received his first patent in 2004. He joined Inventors Alliance
in 2004 not quite sure what to do next. Since licensing that product, he
has licensed five other products to the same manufacturer, Steck Manufacturing. Today Tim sells all his six products. Recently he started his
company to bring products to market himself, (TG Products), with his
first Patent pending product, "The Rail Saver".
Tim is going to answer your questions about bringing a product to market. He'll share his personal experiences about what has and hasn't worked for him.
Ryan Fisher, Business Banking Specialist
Ryan Fisher is a branch manager for Citibank at
the Florin/Greenhaven location.
Ryan will answer any
questions regarding business banking or financing options.
